The key areas/pathways covered:        

  •  Improve English through ESL activities, contextualized to the Childcare Provider environment (ESL for Childcare curriculum)
  • Learn about CT Home Daycare licensing requirements, regulations, application process, mandated reporting, etc.
  • Entrepreneurship topics – marketing your business, taxes, etc.
  • Introduction to the CDA program at Capital Community College (which is bilingual, leading to up to 12 college    credits)
  • Learn in detail about development of children age 0 to school age – cognitive, motor, socio-emotional
  • Learn how to incorporate cultural diversity and development into appropriate activities for all ages.
